The Journey to Parenthood of a Taiwanese Gay Couple

Mr. B realized he was gay around his high school years. After becoming financially independent, he chose to come out to his family. Although he had a few boyfriends over the years, none of the relationships lasted long. When it came to thinking about the future, he felt somewhat pessimistic—until he met his current boyfriend, L, at a friend’s gathering. After spending a few years enjoying their life together as a couple, the idea of having a child naturally began to take shape.

After evaluation by the Uterus International Medical team, Mr. L’s physical condition was deemed more suitable for sperm retrieval first. Once the egg donor was selected, their journey toward embryo transfer officially began. In May 2019, their baby was born!
