After registering their marriage, Max and Evan, in 2019, happened to attend an event organized by the Men Having Babies (MHB) association at W HOTEL in the U.S. The event featured many agencies and organizations from around the world, and it was there that they were introduced to Uterus International Medical, a surrogacy agency.

During this time, Max drew his first-ever fortune stick. He usually doesn’t rely on divination, but he was so anxious that he decided to try it. The fortune he received was straightforward and reassuring, saying that there was no need to worry and everything would turn out well—it was considered an excellent omen.
